On this occasion, I again try to respond to a request for Emilcar on how to create an advanced notification in case a window or door remains open for too long, which is done in a very simple way through Controller for HomeKit.

To do this, we first have to create an Advanced Notification in Controller, in the part of Server, in this way we get the URL of the Trigger… and then we create an Automation in House that calls the URL in case you know the condition (open door more than X minutes).

For this automation I have used an Aqara door sensor that costs approximately €12, although it could also be done with any other type of HomeKit compatible sensor. You know my favorites It’s Eve’s. because they are compatible with Thread and Matter, although they cost twice as much as that of Aqara.

I will also tell you that I have to return the latest Eve Thermo valves compatible with Thread (and Matter) because it seems that they are defective… or that says Eve’s support, but the case is that I am not able to match them with House.
