Hola buenas, buscando información sobre Homekit y Home Assistant he llegado en su blog, muy interesante y gracias por compartir sus experiencias.
El caso es que he leído también otro post en el que manifiesta estar preocupado por las cuestiones de seguridad (cosa que mucha gente no tiene en cuenta) y en el que se recomendaba cortar el acceso a Internet a los dispositivos wifi, dejando sólo Zigbee (aunque siempre quedará la pata de las aplicaciones, que como la de Aqara veo que envía muchos log, y aunque ‘en teoría’ uso el servidor de Europa no deja de preocuparme).
¿Le resulta confiable al respecto Home Assistant? he visto que tiene algunas opciones de seguridad también, pero…
Hola Destiny! En realidad, Home Assistant se puede configurar para que sea completamente stand-alone y no salga a Internet. No obstante, hay algunos dispositivos que NECESITAN este acceso. Por ejemplo, los dispositivos de TADO se conectan a la red de TADO para mantener ahí el estado, por lo que Home Assistant se tiene que conectar a Internet para saber el estado del dispositivo. Pero bueno, está mucho más controlado que con otro tipo de plataformas, así que ni tan mal! Y siempre hay dispositivos similares que no requieren acceso a Internet, lo suyo es ir eligiendo bien las marcas y leer las características antes de comprar uno u otro.
